    Workout: Is This Heaven? No, it’s Maumee

    Had an FNG this morning so placed emphasis on What F3 is and our Mission and Principles:
    F3 – Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
    Mission – Plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
    The core principles of F3 are that it must:
    • Be free of charge
    • Be open to all men
    • Be held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
    • Be led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
    • End with a Circle of Trust

    Warm up:
    Ricky Bobby/Indigenous People’s Run/Indian run down towards main entrance, then around a couple soccer fields, behind the pool to the picnic shelter.

    The Thang:
    Step Ups/Box Jumps on picnic tables during the song “So Much to Say” by Dave Matthews Band. Switch to dips during the chorus.

    Circled up outside the picnic shelter for Side Straddle Hops to the song “Too Much” by DMB. Perform one squat for every “Suck it up” or “Too Much”.

    Mosey back to parking lot for Motor City Shuffle for the duration of the song “Detroit Rock City” by KISS. MCS is: lunge, lunge, merkin, plank jack, up to a frog hop and repeat.

    Mosey to soccer field for Bearway to Heaven performed for the entire 8 minutes of “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. Bearway to Heaven was: Bear crawl suicides to each cone, perform designated number of burpees then bear crawl back to end line and then bear crawl to next cone. 1st cone = 10 burpees, 2nd cone = 9 burpees, 3rd cone = 8 burpees, 4th cone = 7 burpees, 5th cone = 6 burpees, 6th cone = 5 burpees, 7th cone = 4 burpees.

    Cool down:
    “In The Plank Tonight” which is: hold plank for the entire song “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins.

    Time was called and we circled up for:

    Count-O-Rama – Sixteen!
    Sharing of the six – Mile High – EH’d by Flo and the guys from Cedar Creek. Keeps coming out for the motivation we give each other to get better and for the consistency of knowing there are always going to be morning F3 workouts. Aye!
    Naming of the FNG: Sea Level because he is Mile High’s brother. Duh!

    Announcements: Southern convergence on July 4th at The Battlefield. No workout that morning at The Wall.

    Ball of Man – Prayers for Stark’s grandmother and for our troops and the uncertainty in Iran. Also, thanks to all of our policemen, firemen and 1st responders who do thankless work to keep us all safe.
