Boot camp style workout at the Shops at Fallen Timbers. Group will meet next to the movie theater. Easy access to the Wabash Cannonball Trail for some running or rucking. Also, plenty of blacktop to make use of, not to mention a little green space across from the theater.

Pax – Raven, Chew Toy, Landslide, Isosceles, Patriot, Mercy (Q)
Intro – principles, mission, overview of the beatdown.
There was a last second change in the Q schedule, and Mercy offered to pick it up if no one else was, with a tongue in cheek caveat: Mercy was going to make the PAX run 2 miles from the Battlefield to his home, shovel sand, then run back to the Battlefield. To Mercy’s surprise, Raven piped in that he thought this was a good idea. 4 other crazy men also thought it was a great idea for a beatdown – and it absolutely was. Mercy was winded and fatigued throughout the day, requiring a second cup of coffee in the afternoon.
With 5 total wheelbarrows at our disposal, and even more shovels, Mercy had the sand digging operation ready to go once the PAX arrived. Work lights brightened the backyard, and the crew dug in immediately on the 15 tons of sand.
When it was time to get back, the PAX had put a massive dent in the sand pile. In roughly 25 minutes, 6 men moved around 8 tons of beach sand. After the run back, we closed out with the circle of trust. We made the circle quick since we had cut the time so close. We used the full hour for the running and shoveling.
I’m not sure how to express gratitude and amazement for the 5 that showed up and thought this sounded like a good idea. I’m not sure I could have ever imagined this would happen. There is no other group of men like F3 Toledo, and I am grateful for all of you. We had to rush the guys who were prepping the yard the day before because I had a motivated group of guys showing up in the morning to do work – the F3 PAX were more motivated than the guys getting paid to do work in my backyard. This was unexpected, undeserved, and crazy. But completely awesome. F3 Toledo is a group of men that do awesome things that others just shake their heads at, and I am so glad to be part of this.
