There were 21 PAX total including 1 FNG (Stormy) that came out Saturday on a humid and misty morning at The Fuse. Special thanks to Cousteau for some assistance setting up for the beatdown. The site Q’s were no where to be found however that didn’t stop us from putting in the work.

YHC ran into some obstacles fresh out the gate as a majority of the parking lot was blocked off as summer re-paving efforts were underway. Quick thinking guided YHC to a smaller lot..whew, close call! Sandbags, a ruck sack, and a lone jansport lay stacked on the sidewalk ready to challenge us this morning.

With our FNG present we went over F3 Mission statement, principles, and an extensive disclaimer.

    Warm-Up
We then proceed over to the football field, scooping the gear up along the way.

    The Thang:

We counted off into groups of 3 (Initially some debate on how we should count to split up but proper planning had us on track). We initially had 20 but Rose came in hot to round out our group to 21 which was perfect.

Cones were laid out on the 60 yard field and we started on the end line.
    Round 1
-Indian Bear crawl to opposite end line pulling sandbag through legs to teammate.
    -5 pushups once sandbag crosses 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, end line
    -Plank when you’re finished.
    Next:
-1 person does elevated sandbag klinger kicks while other 2 run..burpee every 10 yards to the end…sprint straight back, then sprint down and back…rotate klinger kicker.

Round 2 – At this point we rotated the 2 60lb sandbags to other groups to even things out.
-Indian Bear crawl to opposite end line pulling sandbag through legs to teammate.
    -5 pushups once sandbag crosses 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, end line
    -Plank when you’re finished.
    Next:
-At endline..1 person Sandbag Squats the other 2…run..burpee every 10 yards to the end…
…then sprint down and back…rotate squater

Round 3 – The crawl bear was most definitely met with a groan from the Pax but spirits were still high. All the teams did a great job of pushing one another.
-Indian CRAWL bear back to 50 with pull-throughs…teams of 3…5 pushups once sandbag crosses 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 yard line….if you finish plank up
    Next:
-At end line Elevated sandbag Dolly while other 2 run..burpee every 10 yards to the end…then sprint back. Then sprint down and back 1 more time……rotate dolly doer.

Round 4 – At this point, YHC thought we were running out of time so it was said that we only had to go 1/2 way. T-Claps for Brita pushing us to finish up as we were able to finish the crawl
-Indian crawl bear back to 50 with pull-throughs…teams of 3…5 pushups once sandbag crosses 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 yard line….if you finish plank up.

We mosey’d back to the flag proceed with count-o-rama, name-o-rama, get-to-know-the-6, naming of the FNG, and prayer intentions.

Welcome to our FNG Nate “Stormy” Baer and props to Bagels for the EH! Stormy was named once again after lengthy deliberation and indecision. Ollie was the 6 and shared his F3 journey with us a bit and talked about accountability and the forming bonds with your F3 brothers when getting up in the gloom day after day.

    Moleskin:
-Great seeing Flutie and Edison back in the gloom. Hopefully we’ll see these guys more throughout the summer, particularly now that Edison’s car is working.
-Reverse crawls were interesting as the sandbags weren’t pull-throughs so much as football hikes. Dollywood was launching that thing!
-Mumble chatter seemed a bit quiet overall…the loud gas on the Dolly was easy to hear…you know who you are.
-Everyone stayed together for the most part on the crawls which was awesome to see..much respect to the PAX for grinding it out and not quitting.

The Fuse is always a special place to Q and I thank you all for the opportunity.
