Lt.. Michael P. Murphy
– born May 7, 1976
– died in combat June 28, 2005 at the age of 29 during Operation Red Wings which was intended to disrupt local anti-coalition activity, to help facilitate the Afghan parliament elections by stabilizing the region
– multiple awards included: Medal of Honor; Purple Heart Medal; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal; Combat Action Ribbon; National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/ 1 service star; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Navy Rifle Marksmanship Medal w/ expert device; Navy Pistol Marksmanship Medal w/ expert device

Prayer intentions: Riley (Gaps’ kid’s classmate battling cancer), Mater’s neighbor and recent surgery and his healing, Tiny Dancer’s sister, Brute’s family friend, who is getting married, and whose mom passed away, and for all silent intentions.
