Beautiful 64 degrees. A little humid, but still a good day for a run.

Fumbled through the mission of F3 and went through the 5 Core Principles

Went over the planned path with Oz before we started since he was likely to at the front of the pack.

Plan was to head to Wildwood through the entrance behind Stranahan cross the creek and take a left to follow the creek around and then jump on the floodplain trail and head back up front of the park (by Central Ave) to the brown trail and then head back up to the visitor center / observatory.

Unfortunately, the plan fell apart quickly. We missed our first turn and did not get to enjoy the windy, hilly portion of the trail by the creek. Instead, the group continued straight, and ran right to the visitor center, headed toward the Manor House and then jumped on the brown trail to head to the front of the park. Over time the PAX broke up into 3 groups. Luckily nobody got lost.

YHC and Kitty caught up with the ruckers out for their first stroll of the summer through Wildwood. They tried to get Extra Extra to join Kitty and I. But, he wasn’t having any of that.

We got 3.25 – 3.75 miles in. After returning to Ant Hill, we wrapped up the 1st F with some cool down sprints.

We closed out the morning with the COT. Mickey was the 6 and told us of how he tracks how he feels each day and that the days he starts out with his F3 brothers in the gloom are the days he feels the best and makes the best decisions. Prayers were offered for Smoky’s recovery, healing and the return of Scrum, return of Mater and Danica to the gloom, YHC’s coworker dealing with loss of a family member and potentially more soon, Bluto’s child, and safe travels for Goose on the way home from Charleston, SC.

Always an honor to lead this group of HIMs.
