YHC refreshed the PAX gathered in the snow on the gridiron (aptly named the Dawg House) of the Greatest Football Franchise ever, the Cleveland Browns. YHC gave a brief history – started playing in 1946 in the AAFC and dominated so badly that the league folded, went to the NFL and continued that dominance. Lots of good years followed until some asshat stole our team (we can and should claim that SB, it was our team). Since 1999 its been rough, but John Dorsey has revived the franchise with shrewd moves and a stellar draft. This beatdown will be done as a tribute to that rookie class.
We did a warmup of a couple sideline runs, then got down to business.
1st up – QB Baker Mayfield – 62.7%, 7.21 y/a, 17 TDs, 7 INTs, 2242 yards, 107 rush yards. Holding weights at shoulder level and out to sides, drop back 5 yards, do 10 merkins, then sprint 5 yards forward. repeato x 5. Next, hold weights in front and drop back 10 yards, do 10 Carolina Dry Docks, sprint 10 yards forward. repeato x 5.
2nd – RB Nick Chubb (disrespected with a 2nd round pick) – 663 yards rushing, 5.43 per attempt, 92 long, 6 TDs – carrying one weight – start at goal line, do a 20 yard run, horizontal jump burpees x 3, 20 yard run, horizontal burpees x 3, all the way down the field. Still carrying the weight, turn around, then do a 20 yard run, 5 yard inchworm, 20 yard run, 5 yard inchworm, all the way down to other goal line.
WR Antonio Callaway – 30 Rec, 388 yards, 12.9 ypc, 59 long, 3 TDs. DB Denzel Ward (from THEE Ohio State University – 35 tackles, 11 assists, 1 FF / 2 FR, 3 int, 11 Passes defensed.
Partner up – 1 is the WR, 2 is the DB. Each Carrying 1 weight, WR does 15 yard go routes, then 20 LBCS. DB does 10 yards in back pedal, then 5 LT Dans. Switch. Down the field and back.
Kicker Greg Joseph – 11/13 FG, 15/17 XP – Holding a weight in front of you or overhead, do 30 splinter kicks (15 each leg), 20 kitty kicks (10 each leg), then 10 Jump Squats and then a GW FG celebration of 40 yrd run. Repeat x2.
Finished with COR, NOR, the 6, prayers and intentions.
Moleskin – I had a blast. First time at this AO, and there is just something about putting in work on a football field that is and will always be awesome.
