Boot camp style workout.

Typical routine: warm-up with Merkins, stretching, side-straddle-hops, etc.  Then proceed to the playground equipment and/or field for running mixed with strength training.  Finish off with the C.O.P (circle of pain) for merkins, planks, ab work, supermans, etc.

SATURDAYS always followed up with 2nd F (fellowship) at Executive Diner on Sylvania.

Today was the Oasis Olympics. It was a fairly rainy morning, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. We split into two teams for some good old fashioned competition. Some events were traditional Olympic events, some were definitely not. The competitive spirits for all were high and the competition fierce. It was so close we are still waiting on the video review to confirm the real champion. Some of the highlights and activities.

Sprints – won by Bull, Drago and Jessie
Bear Crawl – won by Jesse
Crab Walk – won by Mulcahy
Ape Hope – won by Mulcahy
Combo of all 4 – won by Beaker

My memory of who won the next events is definitely spotty. Things were at a fast pace by this point.

Discuss – won by either Riggins or Bull, don’t remember for sure
    Shot put – see above
Flip It – a twist on javelin – won by Beaker in a flip off vs Nails
We tried Dauber’s bobcat toss relay, but my directions were terrible. So we went again and did a traditional 1 armed block toss, won by team 1 (aka – the bad guys)

    Baseball
accuracy – no-one knocked over the cone, and somehow team 2 (bad guys) ended up winning with the closest toss, don’t remember who, things were a blur at this point.
longest toss – honestly don’t remember who won this one, maybe Drago?
home run derby – winner is escaping me, seeing a theme by now.

    Soccer
accuracy – no-one knocked over the cone
distance – Cobra Commander won that for team 2 (aka the good guys)

Tried to finish the games with a made up relay, but we ran out of time, the plan and directions were both poorly executed.

I appreciate eveyone’s spirit dealing with the rain and the crazy games. For sure not the best workout, but lots of laughs and great 2nd F at The Executive by all competitiors.

    PAX in attendance
Team 1 (bad guys) – Ozzie, Riggins, Jesse, Nails, Bull
Team 2 (good guys) – Mulcahy, Drago,Thong Song, Cobra Commander, Beaker.
