What the ruck is a ruck? A hike with a weighted backpack (approx 30 lbs) while stopping along the brisk walk to do some invigorating exercise. Excellent 1st F (fitness) and 2nd F (fellowship). If an FNG (Friendly New Guy) is a bit timid to post for a workout the ruck is a great intro to the pax.
Huffy laid out the Mission, Principles and Disclaimer.
PAX = Stark, Chew Toy, Dutch, Woodstock (Q)
4 men set out in the chilly (sub zero with windchill) early morning gloom on a mission to lay down miles and have some good conversations. It was dark, freezing cold, and some spots were slick. Some of the men had set out to find the miles much earlier, 2 at 4:30 and 1 at 5:00. at 5:30 all 4 assembled along with the ruckers and headed out towards Levis Commons. Stark and Chew Toy were feeling randy and blazed a faster pace, while Dutch and Woodstock were content to bring up the 6 and watch for bandits/find their authentic swing (pace). Around the last 2 miles, Dutch found his and the field just opened up. All told the crew ended up with the following mileage totals (estimates):
1 – Woodstock / Chew Toy – 10.25 miles.
2 – Dutch – 7.5 miles
3 – Stark – 5.25 miles
No one froze, no one was left behind, and no one was left where we found them.
Ended with a small COR/NOR/Prayed for Spring, for strength and thankful for our ability to be out doing our thing. Silent prayers for healing and health.
I laid out the F3 Mission, Core Principles, and disclaimer.

Huffy (Q)
Nice brisk ruck in the morning with arm raise, arm raise squats, and a few side straddle hops. We got in about 2 to 2.5 miles with lots of fellowship along the way.
Ended in the Circle of Trust.
Bambi was the 6. Let us know his struggles making it out and how it is tough to HC when he might not make it for the Beatdown. Personally I would like you to know that F3 is Blessed to have you,. I think of you as a brother that has lifted me up more times that I can count. I see you doing the same for so many others every time I see you.
Ended in the announcements and a prayer of thanks for our abilities and to look after the sick and the homeless
Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to lead such an awesome group of men, and I wanted to call out Smokey for his continued commitment and drive to F3. Keep it up brother!!
