Affectionately coined Mount Doom since it is one of the few hills in Toledo area. Weight training workout that typically takes advantage of the hill during the 60 minute beatdown.
Don’t Give Up the Ship!
On the 209th anniversary of Commodore Perry’s victory over the Royal Navy in the Battle of Lake Erie, we reenacted the battle F3 style.
Pax: Mickey, Simmons, Dory, Gadget, Nails, Jake the Snake, Sideshow, Houdini, Dirty, Boo Boo
Q: Boo Boo
Setup: Cones were stacked in the middle. Ships were chalk-drawn about 35 yards in either direction, labelled “Royal Navy” and “‘Murica.”
Half of the Pax was assigned to each ship.
In each battle, 50 reps (30 reps in last battle) of any combination of exercises OR 1 hill earned the chance to either take a cone (cannonball) from the middle and run it over to the opponent’s ship OR take a cone from your own ship and put it back in the middle.

It turned out, the Royal Navy (Mickey, Simmons, Dory, Gadget, Nails)–surely inspired by the recent loss of the Queen–took 3 out of 4 battles with a stalemate in the other, and won Lake Erie for the Brits. The ‘Muricans–fittingly–had to do name-a-rama in a British accent.
6: Jake the Snake
