Affectionately coined Faith Hill since it is one of the few hills in Toledo area. Bootcamp style workout that typically takes advantage of the hill during the 45 minute beatdown.
The forecasted temperature was -10 degrees F and wind chill as low as -27 F. Many questioned the wisdom of having a beatdown outside in such obscene cold. But, we didn’t want a little cold to keep the PAX from putting in some work. YHC planned to keep the PAX moving to keep their body heat up.
The forecast was not far off. At the outset of the beatdown, it was -7 degrees F with a wind chill of -15 F.
5 men braved the elements and joined YHC, in the frozen gloom – Ozzie, El Chapo, Beaker, Bagels, and Cousteau.
Upon arrival, YHC stuck the shovel flag in a snow mound and asked Beaker to mosey to the back of the school to layout some cones. Once we paced out 50 yards and dropped the cones, we moseyed back to the PAX in the parking lot overlooking Faith Hill. As we turned the final corner, we caught the PAX starting to mosey to the back of the school. YHC had them wait as I placed one final cone I planned to use later.
With the cones in place in the parking lot, YHC had the PAX mosey to the back lot while we went over the F3 mission and 5 core principles. Also, being a national holiday, celebrating the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., YHC asked the PAX to share a fact about Dr . King or a quote they knew throughout the workout.
Once we got to the back parking lot, YHC got the PAX warmed up.

After the warm-up, we got to the first thing YHC had in store for the PAX.
21’s
At the 1st cone, do 20 Merkins & 1 LBC, run 50 yards and do 19 Merkins and 2 LBC’s, then run back and do 18 Merkins and 3 LBC’s and continue down to 1 Merkins and 20 LBC’S.
YHC greatly underestimated how much time this would take. It ended up taking 30 minutes. There wasn’t enough time for the other items YHC had in store.
So, with the frigid temps, YHC audibled and we moseyed back to the front parking lot.
We did a quick COT with COR, NOR, Announcements, and closed it out for a prayer for those of thanks for what we have and for Dirty and his family, Houdini and those that don’t have shelter to stay warm.
