Boot camp style workout at the Shops at Fallen Timbers. Group will meet next to the movie theater. Easy access to the Wabash Cannonball Trail for some running or rucking. Also, plenty of blacktop to make use of, not to mention a little green space across from the theater.
The Q: Lavar
The PAX: Lavar, Pennywise, Smokey, Andrew FNG, Chew Toy, and Lonzo
The Warmup: Jog around the movie theater.
The Workout: Staying together as a group, we worked out at 9 different stations. Between stations, PAX had to spring, bear crawl, or lunge walk and couldn’t do the same method between stations consecutively. At each station, the PAX had the option of an A workout (easiest), a B workout (medium), or a C workout (hardest). If you finished before the 6 finished his workout, you had choice of doing planks, 6 inches, air squats, or al gores with a requirement that you couldn’t do the same exercise consecutively. Each PAX had to complete 3 A workouts, 3 B workouts, and 3 C workouts in total.
The A Workouts: Side straddle hop, flutter kicks (2 is 1), air presses, toe raises, penguins, monkey humpers, plank jacks, bicycles, sprints (30 of each with exception of sprints which were there and back roughly 50 yards).
The B Workouts: Imperial walkers (2 is 1), Carolina dry docks, groiners, wide merkins, mountain climbers (2 is 1), pickle pounders, dips, decline merkins, up \ downs (30 of each).
The C Workouts: Merkins, burpees, lt dans (each leg then squat counts as 1), diamond merkins, squats, absolutions, log presses, incline merkins (30 of each)
We then played a 3 on 3 football game with Lonzo, Smokey, and Chew Toy winning 3-2.
We then named the FNG “Tow Motor” because he is a forklift driver. Andrew Gray is birth name. Smokey headlocked him. Lives in Grand Rapids.
Fun fact: Pennywise had his shoe blowout during the football game ala Zion Williamson. He also wore a shirt featuring a minion hugging a bunch of bananas. During one of his first workouts at the Battlefield, he ate a banana before he came and had a massive merlot after the workout.
