   The Thang
   Explanation of F3 and core principles was interrupted due to some raucous MC, Even “working blue” had no effect. So we moseyed over to the track and counted off by 4s for an Indian Run. Evens were in one group and odds in the other. Colonel was urging his group that it was a race, although from the pace of many they weren’t taking his pleas very seriously. After 2 trips around the track, the PAX had a brief respite while I explained the 4 stations (5 WMDS, 10 BigBois, BearCrawls, and 5 Burpees – one at every corner of the track). I had to explain because it was still pitch dark and my dumb ass had written the exercises on the cones – this would be the first of many flaws in my Q this morn.
   After two circuits of the stations, we did 2 sets of wall sits before partner carrying each other back to the parking lot. Each partner did a 1 minute set of Piston Hondas, before we moseyed over to the band field for a thundering crescendo that became a mouse fart – The field was a soggy mess so I had to Omaha my plan; we did lunges and frog jumps- switching every 10 yards before we moved the parking lot and rotated through side bear crawls and lunges. Quickly surveying how I could adapt the relay race to the parking lot – I found a sewer grate equidistant from both islands. The Pax was broken up into 2 groups and while one member raced around the rest did 5 SSH, 5 squats, 5 Imperial Walkers in repeato until it was their turn to go. The odds won going away although Mick made it interesting by waiting for Dirty (probably to fatten the odds). We returned to the flag for CoR, NoR, and the highlight of the morning – Honeymoon’s 6: some powerful words about fathers and sons followed by the phrase ”guys pouring into me.” Classic Honeymoon.

   The Thang: As promised, we set off at a quick pace with a goal of banging out 4 miles before our regularly scheduled programming began at 6:30. Stamper pulled in as we headed out so we did a quick lap around the parking so he could catch up with us. We set off on a route YHC has used before and has worked out well. Everyone moved at a solid pace and and we averaged 14.31 / mile to cover 4.15 miles in exactly an hour. Great work by all that came out and got better before getting betterer at Dauber’s beatdown.
