“Fun with Blocks” October 16, 2019
The idea for today was to take a page from the Iron Pax challenge. We based the beatdown off one of the IP challenges that was done in 2018. We kicked it off with the 5 core principles and instructed the PAX to modify as needed.
The Thang:
We did 5 exercises for 6 minutes each and there was a one and a half minute recovery period between exercises. After 25 reps we had to run 25 yards down and back, 50 yards total. Each exercise was done with a coupon – the standard being a 35# cinder block.
Round 1 – Manmakers – burpees with the overhead block press to finish the rep
Round 2 – Leg Raises while holding the block overhead
Round 3 – Curls
Round 4 – Squats
Round 5 – Merkins – hands on the block

COT: Brute was the six today. He shared about the friendships that F3 has brought about for him and how many in the group have stepped up to help his family, as they recently had another child. We prayed for Tupac’s son, Myron, who is getting married this weekend. We also prayed for health and safety for the group heading to Kentucky this weekend to run the Ragnar.
