Affectionately coined Mount Doom since it is one of the few hills in Toledo area. Weight training workout that typically takes advantage of the hill during the 60 minute beatdown.

    Workout: Don’t Be A Lucy!
    Date: 11/16/19
Location: Mt. Doom – Sylvania Northview High School – Sylvania, OH
    QIC: Geppetto
PAX: 20 total – Klinger, Trinity, Geppetto, Colonel, Dory, El Chapo, Mickey, Kimble, Wake, Teen Wolf (FNG), Mailman, Bluto, Mayor, Charmin, Moana, Jake The Snake, Dirty, Mr. Belding, Beaker, Splinter
We had an FNG this morning so the Mission and Principles were mostly directed towards him
    F3 – Fitness, Fellowship, Faith
Mission –Plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
The core principles of F3 are that it must:
    • Be free of charge
    • Be open to all men
    • Be held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
    • Be led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary. You versus you. Modify or stop an exercise if you need to. The most important thing is that nobody gets hurt.
    • End with a Circle of Trust
Warm up (After a nice 2.5 mile Moana led pre-run): (20) Side Straddle Hops (IC), (15) Windmills (IC)

    The Thang:
We attempted an Indian run around the school which quickly fell apart based on the large number of PAX and general chaos of the group. YHC could have done a better job of thinking out how an IP run would go with 20 PAX! Mickey and Chapo provided YHC with good feedback on how to organize and IP run better during a run later in the workout.

We terminated the IP run somewhere behind the school and circled up for a discussion on the 1st core principle
1st Core Principle – F3 Workouts are ALWAYS Free of Charge. Why? Easiest way to get an FNG to try it is to give it away! Would anyone try F3 is they were charged for it, not knowing what it is?
    – (25) Merkins, (25) LBC’s OYO, (25) Plank Jacks (IC), (25) Leg Lifts
    -Plank for the six

Run back to the starting point – 2nd Core Principle – F3 Workouts are Open to All Men. If you heart and mind are closed, you aren’t making the most IMPACT possible.
    – 10 burpees OYO
    – 25 each flutter kicks (2 is 1) , pickle pounders, hello dolly’s.
    -Plank for the six.

Run to the mid-point behind school – 3rd Core Principle – F3 Workouts are held outdoors rain or shine, heat or cold. Always outside helps keep it free of charge. Earning a victory in the elements 1st thing in the morning sets up for a good day. Battling through wind rain heat snow cold builds resistance and helps you push through adversity.

    – 25 American Hammers (4 is 1), Imperial Walkers (4 is 1), Big Boy Sit Ups

Run to the start point – 4th Core Principle – F3 Workouts are led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion by men who participate, with no training or certification necessary. Controlled environment is which all men can lead, will fail but will be corrected lovingly by their F3brothers and do better the next time.

    – 35 Carolina Dry Docks to Air Press (5 dry docks/5 air presses x’s 7 sets).

Run to mid-point behind school – 5th Core Principle – F3 Workouts end in a Circle of Trust. No matter what transpires during a workout, we leave it there, circle up to talk about what is on our hearts and minds. Consider “the six” as being an honor. Share from your heart why F3 matters to you,

    -25 Merkins, LBC’s OYO

Called time and ran back to the start point for:

Circle of Trust with Count-O-Rama, Name-O-Rama, The Six, naming of the FNG. Announcements and a Ball of Man with prayer. Wake was the six. Got his name because he spends time at his lake and likes watersports. Hasn’t posted in a little while but felt great to get back out and be with the group again. Prayers for Woodstock’s family and for his wife’s surgery. Announcements: Holiday party December 14th. Need DJ equipment. Contact Belding if you know of any. Mickey will soon begin collecting toys for donation to kids with cancer. Trinity announced transition of Mr. Belding to Mailman as site Q of Mt. Doom. Klinger spoke about F3Toledo gear sale currently going on. Mayor posted an event for 5-0’s graduation from the Northwest State Community College call center class that will take place at Cherry Street Mission. Prayers for PAX with recent new additions to their families. Prayers to be better husbands, fathers, coworkers, siblings

    Moleskin/Spreadsheet from the Gloom:
    • Mt. Doom was snow covered an icy so sadly we did not utilize the hill this morning.
    • The core principles of F3 are not just words. They serve a purpose that ultimately helps fulfill the mission to invigorate male community leadership. Memorize the principles. Know their meaning and why we do what we do.
    • Honored to lead 20 PAX at Mt Doom!
